Sevilla, Spain and HS trains

Located in southern Spain, Seville is the most prominent city in the Andalusia region, famous for its oranges (and orange wine) and for upholding the country’s traditions of bull riding and dancing.

Jamon Iberico – Ibérico pigs are slow-growth animals. Because they’re not fed hormones or fattened up on industrial corn, it takes them longer to achieve ideal slaughter weight. In most cases, it takes Iberian pigs double the time that it takes industrial pigs to grow.

In the world of cured hams, Jamón Ibérico de bellota reigns supreme. Its strict designation of origin standards, the uniqueness of the animals used, the quality, tradition, and expert hand-carving techniques make it stand above even the best Italian prosciutto.

High Speed trains

The Eurostar e320, with London – Paris – Brussels – Amsterdam routes, train is an electric multiple unit passenger train designed for an operating speed of 320 km/h (200 mph). This 16 car train is capable of carrying more than 900 passengers.

Spain’s RENFE S-103, with 404 seats distributed across 2 classes, is designed to travel at 350 km/h. The train’s roof is equipped with eight pantographs for deaing with Europe’s different power systems and contact line types.

Somewhere between Sevilla and Barcelona

I found it difficult for my brain to process the views at 200+ mph unless I looked only in the distance. The travel is very smooth and very comfortable.

We stopped for a few minutes and another high speed train flew past in a terrifying blur. … There were seat belts on the nice bus I took from Faro to Sevilla but no seat belts on any of the high speed trains. I guess it wouldn’t matter.
